Interview with Lee Morris

A couple of weeks ago Lee Morris dropped this banger of a remix of ‘Melsen – You’! We sat down with him to get to know the man behind this remix better!

You released a collab with Melsen, how did you get in touch with him?

I got in touch with Melsen via Instagram, I sent him the track idea ‘Hold On To Me’ which he instantly loved. We then started working on the track which we managed to finish in the space of 4 days! It was super natural!

What “DAW” do you use for making music?

I use FL Studio to make music. This is the DAW I first started using, and I’ve never used anything else. If something isn’t broken, don’t try and fix it!

What app are you using the most and why?

Lee Morris: The app I’m using the most is Instagram. It’s so easy to use and connect with others, and its super popular right now. Especially for artists and anyone releasing music. You can post a photo, caption it, keep your followers updated with a pretty picture, reach new people with each post… what’s not to love?

Any new collabs coming up?

I have a collab with Jennifer Cooke coming out soon… A few people might have heard it already on Tomorrowland radio, but more to be announced on that one shortly!

We see you played the drum, was this always a passion?

I started playing drums at the age of 12, this is because my dad is a guitarist, so he needed someone to play drums and keep a beat for him to practise when he was at home. That’s where it started for me and I still play to this day.

What is next for Lee Morris?

What’s next? I’ve been hinting a little bit on my Instagram story with the Hexagon Records logo… So I’ll leave that up to the reader to work out!
