When it comes to legendary acts in the trance genre, Rank 1 is a name that will undoubtedly be at the top of many fan lists. The Dutch act is responsible for countless trance hits since their inception and their sound has influenced trance music since the beginning of the millennium. Now in 2020, these two legends have decided to do something special for their audience – they will release their full performance from A State of Trance 950.

This is a special occasion for the duo because they are usually quite reserved with what they release. The release of a full Rank 1 live set is rare, especially in the case of this set, since it contains four unreleased tracks. Alongside some of their biggest hits like “Airwave” and their remix of Cygnus X’s “Superstring”, the live set features the highly demanded exclusive track “Predictive Memory” alongside unreleased future classics “Transatlantic Communication,” No Name” and “Paris Nice Cannes.”

Rank 1 is an act that goes against the grain of the modern music industry. They stay away from social media and prefer to tell their story through music only, staying famously reclusive. The act puts a high level of care into their music. They only release the best of the best music that they create. Rank 1’s latest release, a collaboration with Marco V called “We Finally Met”, came out in 2019.

Known for their 1999 hit “Airwave”, the trance act is the first Dutch dance music act to top the European Dance Chart. Rank 1 has been on the front lines of the trance movement since the year 2000, alongside artists like Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Ferry Corsten. They have created anthems for world-renowned events like Trance Energy and Sensation. For over 20 years, the duo has been providing trance fanatics with nothing but the most well-refined dance music possible.

The full Rank 1 set from A State of Trance 950 is now available to stream on all streaming stores. Take a listen to the set and lose yourself in the incredible vibes of last February’s edition of A State of Trance.
